SNNS Readme file

The current version of SNNS is now version 4.2. It is the only
supported one. But we keep the former version 4.1 still available. The
files dealing with version 4.2 are:
SNNSv4.2.tar.gz the complete sources of the simulator,
tarred and compressed, i.e. gzipped.
SNNSv4.2.tar.gz.aa ..
SNNSv4.2.tar.gz.ae the complete sources of the simulator,
tarred, gzipped and split into five pieces
for flaky ftp connections.
SNNSv4.2.Manual.pdf user manual in PDF.
SNNSv4.2.Manual.ps.gz a compressed, i.e. gzipped, postscript
document of the complete user manual.
SNNSv4.2.Manual.src.tar.gz the compressed, i.e. gzipped, sources of
the user manual for those who like to
build it themselves

Like the version 4.1, this version also includes the hook-ups for the
genetic algorithm tool enzo, developped by the University of Karlsruhe.
This tool allows the evolutionary optimization of neural networks. The
tool and its documentation is also located on this ftp-server. The
corresponding files are

ENZO.tar.gz The complete sources and documentation
of enzo, tarred and compressed, i.e.
gzipped.
