SNNS under XFree86/OS2

I'm hoping someone can help with this.  I'm a grad student at the New
Jersey Institute of Technology and am _attempting_ to get SNNS to
run under XFree86/OS2.  I'm in a little over my head, but hey, how
better to learn!

I'm experiencing the following:
        In file included from ui_main.c:47:
        ui_mainP.h:29:  parse error before 'caddr_t'
        ...
	
and am having trouble tracking down 'caddr_t'.

Any help and/or pointers are much appreciated.
