Dear nnetters,

I  am looking for a neural network simulator that enables building
biologically plausible models (possibly would enable 'reverse engineering'
- reducing simplyfying biological models to create artificial nets but
preserving the functionality of the initial model). The simulator should
allow to build models based on the assumption of the importance of the
interspike intervals for information encoding in the nervous system, thus
its functionality should incorporate and rely on taking into account
delays in sending information along different paths of connections in the
net. I would appreciate very much if somebody would give me some
suggestions if there exist convenient to use freeware/shareware simulator
that would be suitable for such modelling.
